SKUSA, explained ProKart Challenge, Pro Tour and SuperNats

SKUSA isn’t a series. It’s the organizer, and it runs three separate things: a California season, a national season and one huge race in Las Vegas. Here’s how they fit together, and which one is for you.

How it fits together

Three things SKUSA runs, and how they connect

Two are seasons, where points add up over the year. One is a single event. None of them requires the others: you can race the SuperNats without ever doing a ProKart Challenge round.

If it helps

Think of it like travel ball

The ProKart Challenge is your season: the same tracks and the same families every round, with a champion at the end. The Pro Tour is the same thing at a national level. The SuperNats is the big national tournament that anyone can sign up for. Win your season and you get in free.

Most SoCal families start with Tri-C or COTF, add ProKart Challenge rounds, and try the SuperNats once their driver can run with a big field.

SKUSA is the league office. The ProKart Challenge, Pro Tour and SuperNats are what it runs. Not a paid service, just one family’s notes.

FAQ

SKUSA FAQ

What is SKUSA?

SKUSA (Superkarts! USA) is a US kart racing organizer. It runs the ProKart Challenge regional series in California, the national Pro Tour, and the SuperNationals in Las Vegas every November. All three use IAME engines and Evinco spec tires.

Is the SuperNats the ProKart Challenge championship?

No. The ProKart Challenge crowns its own champions over six rounds. The SuperNats is a separate one-off event. The link is the prize: each PKC class champion wins a free SuperNats entry with tires, and in the 88-kart classes a guaranteed start in Sunday's main.

Do you have to qualify for the SKUSA SuperNationals?

No. Anyone with a SKUSA membership, or a $75 single-event membership, can enter until a class fills. Classes start capped at 44 and can open to 88.

What's the difference between the ProKart Challenge and the Pro Tour?

Both are SKUSA points seasons. The ProKart Challenge is regional: six rounds a year in California and Pahrump, two-day weekends, $437 a round. The Pro Tour is national: three double-header weekends a year, mostly out of state, $675–725 a weekend plus tires.

Do you need a SKUSA license to race?

Yes, a SKUSA membership, $150 new. For the SuperNats only, there's also a $75 single-event membership.

Is ROK Vegas a SKUSA race?

No. ROK Vegas is run by ROK Cup USA for ROK engines, about ten days before the SuperNats, on a track at the Rio in Las Vegas.

Is the IKF Grand Nationals a SKUSA race?

No, it's IKF's national championship, and the host changes every year. SKUSA hosted it at K1 Circuit in 2025, and Tri-C Karters hosted it at Spring Mountain in 2026.

Where does SKUSA post updates and penalties?

On its WhatsApp channel, skusa.link/whatsapp. Live timing is on RaceHero, linked from superkartsusa.com/live.html.
